Founded in 1985 by R.D. Cathey Jr., a 30 year veteran and pioneer of the sampling industry, Hampton Roads Sampling Inc. was incepted with the goal of providing top quality commodity inspection and consulting services to the Greater Hampton Roads area. 

As an independent sampler, HRSI is able to provide individual, customized, and unbiased inspection services. Through its many successes and industry connections, HRSI has expanded nationally and currently has operations in New York, New Jersey, and Texas. Still family owned and operated, we strive to develop and refine commodity and inspection services for the benefit of our customers.
